Lanes of London

This is a fusion restaurant which attempts to bring together all of the international street foods which can be found in London. Expect the menu to be filled with homages to Lebanese (Edgware Road), Vietnamese (Kingsland Road), and Indian (Brick Lane) cuisines.

Roy Choi’s latest incarnation is billed as ‘Korean food through the eyes of an American with Korean blood’. We’ve been told to expect family-style hot pots, blood soups and barbeque, in a setting which is to resemble a traditional hotel bar in Korea.

Holborn Dining Room

Location: Rosewood London, High Holborn

Following great success with his contemporary The Fish and Chip Shop in Islington last year, Des McDonald will operate the Holborn Dining Room. The hotel restaurant will focus on British cuisine and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It will comprise of a restaurant, rock bar, delicatessen and an open terrace which overlooks the hotel courtyard.

This Malaysian inspired seafood restaurant is currently only found in three locations; New York, Hong Kong and the US Virgin Isles. London is set to benefit from an expansion in Fatty Crab’s operations, with the launch of Fatty Crab London later this year. The menu is expected to comprise of tempura and rice bowls, specialties such as Chilli crab, Fatty Duck, and Crispy Pork, and plenty more besides.

‘BAT’ has dually come to stand for Bar à Tapas and Bar à Tartares in France, and this restaurant lives up to both names. The menu brings together a variety of Spanish tapas with a French touch, as well as grilled duck and beef tartar, and exquisite steak for good measure.

Chef: Jean-Georges Vongerichten

Home Grown will be a vegetarian and vegan restaurant, bringing together non-meat dishes from across the world, mainly from the Asian and Middle Eastern regions. Jean-Georges believes people are ‘hungering’ for more protein-free options to help balance their diet. With New Year’s resolutions already made, the French chef could be onto a winner.

Morimoto South Beach

Chef: Masaharu Morimoto

The Iron Chef himself, Masaharu Morimoto will bring his unique and authentic traditional Japanese restaurant to Miami’s South Beach. Expect a variety of sea foods, noodles and rice, all served with Morimoto’s signature touch.

As the name of this restaurant suggests, the majority of the menu will feature a variety of grilled and charred meats, fish and poultry. It is another launch from Des McDonald, the man behind the upcoming Holborn Dining Room (also featured in this list).

Chef: Daniel Boulud

Daniel Boulud will attempt to bring ‘an updated version’ of the DB Brasserie which he shut down in Las Vegas in 2010. This will be a mainly French cuisine and ‘signature brasserie dishes with a modern twist’ will also feature.

As the name suggests, House of Curry is an Indian restaurant which will serve classic curry recipes. The interior decor is designed to resemble a traditional Indian home, and the menu will encompass dishes from the north of India, to a unique blend of flavours from the southern coastal regions.
